Summers Pull-up stash

My dear sister Summer requested that I make her some pull-ups for her two older kids.  As most of us mothers know pull-ups are expensive and you don't get as many in a package.  Its outragouse.   I have been working like a maniac to get these done.  In case you were wondering why I havn't been bloging lately.  Now I can get started on a stash of one size diapers for her new little guy!

So here is Kayalas stash.  6 Trimsie Trainers with a welt pocket in the back for stuffing. They all have an organic bamboo velour inner, knit outer and a hidden layer of PUL to make them waterproof.

Halloween fun

Halloween was awesome this year.  By far Nolans best Halloween EVER.  Last year he was sick (threw up on daddy and didn't even get any candy) So this year I was determined that he recieve the whole halloween experience.   So we started the festivities with a trip to the pumpkin patch (which I forgot my camera.. doy) It was freezing and Nolan only wanted a tiny little pumpkin but we had fun walking around looking at pumpkins and he would hold my hand when it was hard to walk through the dirt..  The carving festival took place the Thursday before Halloween. (although all Nolan wanted to do was eat cereal :)   This year I had prepped him.  I had him wear his costume and I practices opening the door so he could say trick or treat with his bucket then I would drop a candy in.  He was starting to get excited!

For trick or treating we went to Christie and Shawns house.  In their neighborhood the houses are spaced very close together so its perfect for trick or treating!    Uncle Shawn painted Nolans face to look like a tiger! He did a really good job and Nolan was so cute!

Lucas and Abby were a bit faster than Nolan.  He has little legs and insn't used to running in the rain or in costume.  They would usually get to the door before him.  Sometimes he would run off after them and forget to get his candy! It was really cute.  After every house for the first ten houses he would show us his bucket on his way to the next house and say "I have candy"!!! Like he couldn't believe people were just giving him candy.  Too cute.  At one house Abby proclaimed that she was a witch and then the candy giver says to Nolan, what are you? and Nolan replies cheerily... I'm a Nolan!  It was one of the cutest things I have ever heard!   He was just so adorable running from house to house.

After that we went to a haunted house.  It was super spooky and lots of fun!

He was so proud of himself! Nolan is leaning so much. We do some schooling a few times a week but I don't have to work with him too much because he learns so fast.  I made the sound of each letter in his name and he was able to draw them all from memory!!!  I thought maybe he would have trouble and I would have to show him a picture of each letter but nope.  He amazes me every day!  He is such a bright smart little guy! He know all the letters in the alphabet and what sounds they make! Good job Nolan

It was such an awesome event to see my sweet husband bless our new baby girl Shyloh.  She was quiet through the entire blessing and when Joe finished he looked down and she was just gazing up at him.  He came back to his seat with tears in his eyes.  It was precious and an experience I will always cherish! 

 

Than it was Nolans turn.  We did his blessing after church A member of the bishopric came over and we sat Nolan on a chair.  He looked so handsome with his hair combed to one side and his crisp white shirt and tie.  Joe started the blessing then suddenly Nolan decided he didn't want to sit with everyone one touching his head so he slid out of the circle and began to walk away.  With a swift evasive maneuver I grabbed him and wiggled into the circle with him held tightly on my lap.  It was cool to be in there with him while his daddy blessed him.  The spirit was so strong with my sweet little boy on my lap and all the priesthood power around us.
